CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2026 PUMPKIN SMASH 200 WINNER CRAIG MASTROPIERRO!

The huge crowd of kids helped us make a mess on the track by smashing all the pumpkins, then soap and water was added just before the green flag flew on the 20th Annual Pumpkin Smash where 26 drivers entered the event.

The top five to six cars in the Pumpkin Smash battled hard throughout the 200 lap race, and it looked like anyone of these drivers could win the event. The top drivers that showed some serious talent by navigating the ice type conditions on the racetrack where Fast Freddy, Adam Baggett, Ryan Hart, Kris Chitwood, Craig Mastropierro and Loren Chitwood.

When the smoked and pumpkin parts cleared and the checkered flag flew high in the sky it was Craig Mastropierro that got to the flag first in the 200 lap slip and slide race taking home the $1,000 victory. 

Ryan Hart made the race exciting by chasing down the leader and making a last lap effort for the win but came up one position short coming home in second place. Fast Freddy Ryland came home in third just behind Hart.

Fourth to fifteenth place was Adam Baggett, Kris Chitwood, Les Wasson, Dave Ski, Kevin Gallyer, Jack/Austin Vanltoff, Del Mcintosh, David McEwen, Loren Chitwood, James Cooke, Alex Weber and Marisa Giorgi.

Brook Allen took home the $250 winning prize for the 10-lap barrel race in an exciting back and forth battle with Les Wasson that came home in second place, Scott Wasson was third, Keving Gallyer was fourth followed by Jeremy Collins in fifth.

The next event at the Madera Speedway is the big truck and tractor pull event on November 13th and 14th!
